Matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks which bring vanilla, toffee and fudge notes, and first fill ex-Sherry casks providing richness and complexity, the extra years resting in oak allows for further flavor development in the 23 Year Old. Vanilla moves to the palate, spices and menthol notes emerge and charred pineapple intensifies.”

Initially matured in a mixture of ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks. 50% of the 'blend' is then finished in first-fill Sherry casks, the rest in first-fill Bourbon. Craigellachie 17 is smooth and mellow, the aroma opens with vanilla and rich, silky notes of exotic fruits, canned pineapples and a hint of smoky liquorice.
