Tasting Notes
Nose |
Distillery: This subtle Highlander initially offers charming aromas of malted barley and austere green fruits, as is often the way however a little time in the glass allows this whisky to open up and notes of manuka honey, lemon oil and cedar appear.
WSD: Butterscotch, toffee popcorn, condensed milk and lightly done toast with butter. Oranges, orchard blossom, lemon curd and butterkist in coconut milk. |
Taste |
Distillery: The distillate’s fruity character dominates the palate bringing orange, underripe peach, green wine gums and honeyed toast.
WSD: Creamy butter toffee, chewy and mouth coating with un-cooked cake mixture, melted custard creams and a biscuity edge. |
Finish |
Distillery: The finish shows waves of wood spice and a touch of vanilla |
