Description
This Glenglassaugh is from the very first cask, a refill butt, that was filled on the first cask filling day on 16th December 2008 then refilled into 2 smaller casks on 16th December 2010. The smaller casks were a first fill ex-Pedro Ximinez sherry hogshead and a first fill ex-Palo Cortado sherry hogshead. On the 16th December 2011 the whiskies were returned to the original butt and were married for a further 3 months. On the 16th December 2011 the cask was emptied and 650 bottles were filled with the whisky at cask strength.
