Chapter Three in the Legacy Series marries some of the very finest American oak sherry casks in the Glengoyne warehouses according to the distillery.
Matured only in sherry seasoned oak casks, a high proportion first fill and bottled at natural colour. The cask make-up is 80% first fill and 20% refill ex-sherry casks.

This is the second official Fino sherry matured release. It has been matured for a minimum of 5 years in 20 Fino sherry butts previously used by Bodega Jose y Miguel Martin. This is one of 15650 bottles.

The Kilchoman PX Sherry cask matured 2023 Edition was matured for a minimum of five years in Pedro Ximinez sherry casks previously used by Bodega Jose y Miguel Martin, Jerez, Spain. The time spent maturing in Pedro Ximinez casks, has given the whisky layers of rich, sweet PX influence which balance beautifully with the citrus sweetness and peat smoke of the Kilchoman spirit
This Kilchoman Sanaig is named after a small rocky inlet located north of the distillery. This expression has a predominantly sherry cask influence.

The distillery has one of the longest wash fermentation periods in the Scotch Whisky Industry. Coupled with an unusual sister spirit stills, this set up helps to achieve the Distillery Manager's, Garry Haggart's, goal of producing a malt of remarkable character for its age. The Sister Spirit Stills “Poppy” & “Gee”, named after the owner's, Drew and Helens’, two daughters, help enhance and refine, through additional copper contact in the spirit distillation phase. The intention is to maintain the flavours captured in the long fermentation period.
The distillery say '‘‘‘The Casks Of Lindores 2, Sherry Butt’ is a Limited Bottling from Lindores Abbey Distillery. Matured for a longer period of time than series 1 exclusively in Oloroso Sherry Butts from the area around the city of Jerez de la Frontera in Spain. This Lindores Single Malt is bottled onsite at our unique Limited-Edition strength of 49.4% ABV."
Lochlea is an independent, family-owned distillery in the heart of Ayrshire. The distillery says "Lochlea Cask Strength Batch 1 is the first in a series of annual limited-edition bottlings. Each batch will be bottled straight from the casks without water, like trying samples from the warehouse itself! Master Blender John Campbell and the team at Lochlea have chosen Bourbon and Sherry casks this time, and every year will show further progression of our whisky." There are only 15,000 bottles available globally made from 1st fill bourbon barrels and 1st fill oloroso sherry butts.

The team at the distillery also say ' Lochlea Harvest Edition reflects the end of summer, when our golden barley is ready to be harvested and eventually used for next year's production. We've chosen a coral red label to reflect the Ayrshire soil, which changes colour to a deep, sunset hue once the barley has been harvested."
