This Royal Lochnagar as bottled in 2012, Elegant and dry, in the Highland style, fine old Royal Lochnagar invariably shows a pleasing citrus acidity and an attractive, lingering finish. Skilled double maturation in old Muscat cask-wood brings a sweet, floral richness to balance this subtle sandalwood style.

| Distillery: Immediate strawberry jam, bags of jelly babies, then a richly malty heart with malt loaf and Dundee cake. With water, sweeter (rich fresh fruit aromas, as in a village fruit shop) and a hint of almond oil. |
