The distillery tell us "Since 1997, the Distillers Editions have been an annual release of limited quantities, each very much true to its origins yet possessing a rich depth, complexity and nuance of flavour not found in the regular release. This excellent Glenkinchie whisky has been firstly matured in Refill American and European Oak casks. With the second maturation finished in Amontillado-seasoned re- charred American Oak with heavily recharred new AO ends. "
Tasting Notes

| Distillery: Crisp, yet well-formed, and complex. Nicely balanced between the drier notes from the wine and sweeter, nutty notes of barley and cask wood. |
| Taste |
| Distillery: Lightly oily, and sweetly malty in taste to start, then soon spicy, with rich dried fruit hints of raisin and date. Creamy-smooth, the lightly grapey sweetness is crisply balanced by warming wood-spice as it dries from mid-palate on. |

| Distillery: Really long, attractively drying and oaky, while lightly white pepper-spicy. Appealing aftertaste. |

Crisp and focused, with a herbal, drying finish, this is a ideal aperitif and partner to smoked fish, sushi or scallops.
