Ardbeg Uigeadail (pronounced Oog-a-dal) is a special vatting that marries Ardbegs traditional deep, smoky notes with luscious, raisiny tones of old ex-Sherry casks. It's non chill-filtered at high strength, which retains maximum flavour and gives more body and added depth.
This Arran is finished in a Sauternes Wine Cask , non chillfiltered and bottled at 50%. After initially maturing in traditional oak casks over a number of years The Arran Single Malt in this bottling was finished in a selection of Sauternes wine casks sourced from an artisan producer of this iconic Bordeaux sweet white wine.
Always well received. This is still an outstanding whisky. Auchentoshan three wood ages gracefully in American bourbon casks - finishing in Spanish Oloroso and Pedro Ximinez sherry casks. The result: smooth and complex, with red fruits, chocolate and toasted hazelnut.
Through the smoke and nutty sweetness, comes the unmistakeable feel of Dories silky water, followed by a dry, well balanced finish.
