Balvenie 16 Years Old French Oak Pineau Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky 70cl
The distillery says - "The Balvenie French Oak is a vibrant single malt finished in casks which previously held wine from the French Charentes vineyards. Pineau des Charentes is a fortified wine, made from unfermented grape juice, to which a Cognac eau-de-vie is added and then matured. Pineau is also found as a home-made product in the neighbouring Deux-Sèvres and Vendée départements. This is the first of The Balvenie finishes to explore French Oak. Pineau is akin to cognac in terms of production and flavour; allowing us to capitalise on the rise of this flavour profile. A departure away for our core range the ABV will be 47.6% and non-chill filtered appealing to the changing consumer taste profile for single malt."

Balvenie 19 Years Old A Revelation of Cask and Character Single Malt Scotch Whisky 70cl
The distillery says - "This is a story of expertise, intuition, and the craft of Coopering - as old as whisky itself. This particular sherry Oak maturation is the result of years of curiosity and learning. The use of casks in whisky was supposedly an accidental revelation. If you believe the folklore, hundreds of years ago, Oak casks were used to transport whisky across the British Isles. By the time it reached its destination, the whisky would have taken on some of the depth and richness of whatever liquid these casks once held. And so, storage in certain casks became a conscious rather than circumstantial choice. Over time, the use of Oak casks became instrumental in the quality and final flavour of the whisky. Our Head Cooper Ian McDonald knows this all too well, having worked with his team and his tools for over 50 years. Malt Master Kelsey McKechnie describes this unique 19-year-old Balvenie as “the perfect way to showcase the journey of our Coopers, representing Ian’s work with Spanish bodegas.

Balvenie The Week of Peat 17 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky 70cl
The distillery says - "Eager to experiment with The Balvenie profile using what he had learnt from a recent trip to Islay, distillery manager Ian Millar ordered a batch of Speyside peat for the kiln. For a week a year, The Balvenie distils a batch of peated malt, resulting in a whisky rich in honey, vanilla and citrus notes with an extra layer of delicate smokiness. Aged for 3 years longer, this longer maturation has given the flavour time to intensify, leaving a smooth, creamy finish swirling alongside the subtle smoke."
