Description
In the making of The Balvenie Portwood Single Malt Scotch Whisky, the Master Distiller has carefully selected rare reserves of Balvenie, matured in traditional oak casks, and transferred them to port casks for a few months.
Tasting Notes
| Nose |
| Distillery: A perfume of fruity and ripe raisin notes, backed by a nutty dryness. The WSD:Fruit flavoured mint sweet on the nose. Then liquid caramel, chocolate coated raisins and walnuts. |
| Taste |
| Distillery: Refined with remarkable character, it is creamy and silky with fruit, honey and spice notes. The WSD: Medium sweet on the palate. Very creamy and lush. Strawberry jam notes. Quite spicy and a touch of menthol. |

| Distillery: Long, gentle, nutty. The WSD: More gentle spice and a touch of wood smoke. |
