Description
The Glenrothes is bottled at it's peak of maturity and flavour, rather than at a pre-determined age. Distillation is unusually slow and takes place in tall stills, which deliver a sweet, clear, fruity spirit. Maturation is in American oak and Spanish oak casks. The Reserves give you the opportunity of enjoying a number of selected Vintages from different years married together in perfect harmony.
Glenrothes descibe the whisky as spicy ginger, orange peel and sherry oak.
The WSD think: The nose has butterscotch, dried apricots and freshly cooked, still warm nut roast whilst the taste bursts in your mouth with fresh apricots, crunchy nut cornflakes and spiced oranges with cloves. (V,K)
