Description
The Distillery have said that by 'Delving deep into our distillery's history, we chanced upon an early association with the Islay Distillery Co, struck back in 1887. This provided the stimulus for a new expression, one that reflects a delightfully serendipitous result.
The whisky from the Vintage 1992 was selected to give a temporary home in a cask hailing from the peaty lands of Islay. This was allowed just the right amount of time to add a "kiss" of peat smoke, complementing, but not overpowering its exquisite character. It is a first for Glenrothes, but it may not be the last.
