Description
This Glenkinchie was distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2017 from an ex-Amontillado cask.
Each Distillers Edition expression undergoes a second (or double) maturation in casks that have previously held a fortified wine. In this case Amontillado cask number G/290-7-D.

| Distillery: Firmer, drier notes from soft vanilla to crisp grape. Sweeter, nuttier tones come from the malted barley and cask wood. |

| Distillery: Dry, after early biscuit-sweetness. Enormous malt character contrasts with the fruitiness of the grape. |

| Distillery: Very long, dry, oaky. Very faint peppery notes add spice, softened by very late caramel. |
A dry refined character born just 20 miles from Scotland's capital naturally makes Glenkinchie "The Edinburgh Malt". Its aromatic smoothness brings to mind cut flowers and creamy lemon cheesecake. Crisp and focused, with a herbal, drying finish, this is a ideal aperitif and partner to smoked fish, sushi or scallops.
