Description
The Master Distiller has selected a limited number of port casks to finish maturing the peated Glenglassaugh single malt. During the second period of maturation he says 'the whisky interacts with the wood, adding an intriguing range of flavours and aromas specific to the port cask.'

Distillery: Heather honey drizzled over a medley of fresh red fruits, all backed by intriguing waves of sweet peat smoke.
The WSD: The nose is soft and subtle. Plain crisps and mint humbugs. (M) |
Taste |
Distillery: Delicious wild red berry compote and clotted cream balanced by hint of cracked black pepper.
The WSD: The palate is quite sticky, Flapjacks straight out of the oven a bit singed with warm strawberry jam. (M) |
