Description
This 40 year old cask strength Glenfarclas is part of The Family Cask range. It is exclusive to The Whisky Shop Dufftown. The whisky was from an Oloroso cask which produced 496 bottles. The cask was filled on 8th January 1971 and bottled on 14th February 2011.
Tasting Notes

| Incredible warmth and depth. Spiced figs, raisins, warm treacle and worn leather. Seville orange marmalade and Black Forest Gateau. Fruit pastels, blackcurrant wine gums and the bark of an oak tree. |
| Taste |
| Rich cream with sweet spiced raisins. Bread and butter pudding, warm muffins, glazed pastry, vanilla pods and sweet warm coconut. Old fashioned wooden bar tops, polished mahogany and black pepper. |
| Finish |
| Amazing mouth filling finish with wave after wave of intense flavours. Brown sugar sweetened espresso. Old brandy warm in the glass. Warm spiced raisins and lots of mature Oloroso. |
