Description
This Glentauchers was distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2022 and finished in 2 Amontillado Sherry cask for the last 24 months. It produced 1496 bottles. Amontillado is a variety of sherry wine characterised by being darker than Fino but lighter than Oloroso. It is named after the Montilla region of Spain, where the style originated in the 18th Century.
The Morrison family describe this as having "crushed amaretti biscuits and mascarpone over stewed apricots."
