Description
This Glen Elgin single malt scotch whisky was distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2023 from a first fill bourbon hogshead. It is exclusively bottled for The Whisky Shop Dufftown, with only 227 bottles available. We all think this is a wonderful dram.
Tasting Notes

| BBR: Honeyed floral notes sing out of the glass, with zesty marmalade and some bubble gum showing with time.
WSD: Lots of citrus hits you immediately. Pineapple cubes, key lime pie combined with lemon meringue pie, desiccated coconut/coconut macaroons, re-hydrated sweet figs and warm treacle tart. |

| BBR: The palate has remarkable texture and an immensely complex array of flavours from blood orange to barley sugar via tobacco and something resembling waxed jackets. This leads to a long finish giving more orange marmalade and some lingering oak spice.
WSD: Very lively with grapefruit, lemon and lime zest, pineapple and lemongrass followed by a slight hint of white pepper.. With water - the water brings a smooth balance and a touch of oiliness. Passion fruit and muscat grapes follow ending with a slight waxiness and a touch more pepper on the tip of the tongue. |
