To create Batch No. 8 of the Balvenie TUN 1509, David C. Stewart MBE carefully hand-selected 18 of the finest casks – 4 ex-bourbon barrels, 6 second fill Sherry butts, 5 refill puncheons and 3 new sherry butts – from the distilleries precious aged whiskies. These 18 casks have spent 3 months in a traditional marrying Tun, knitting together.
