Lochlea is an independent, family-owned distillery in the heart of Ayrshire. The distillery say "In our Harvest Edition (Second Crop), we have carefully selected Port casks, STR barriques and first-fill Bourbon barrels to offer a deliciously different twist this year. In comparison to Harvest Edition (First Crop), we have incorporated a much higher proportion of Port casks to enhance the whisky’s creaminess, whilst also introducing a delightful peppery spice from the STR barriques. The second in a new set of four limited editions, this whisky is inspired by the end of summer, when our golden barley is harvested and eventually used for the next year’s production.

We've chosen a coral red label to reflect the Ayrshire soil, which changes colour to a deep, sunset hue once the barley has been harvested."

We are also the only distillery in the world who can rightfully claim that Robert Burns himself lived and worked here. He spent his formative years from 1777-1784 at Lochlea, and we are proud to work those same fields today 240 years on.'

The heat, faster maturation, and older spirit combine to show a clear progression from last year's edition"
The Mossburn Vintage Casks range are a collection of Single Malt Scotch Whiskies each issuing from a strictly limited and select batch of casks. Each numbered release will only ever yield a finite number of bottles. The distillers say 'For this range we have sought out Single Malts of interest from distilleries not owned or run by ourselves. They are the issue of specific vintages, with full traceability of the distillation and cask ageing that they have undergone. The master blender has specially selected these barrels from our ageing warehouses, where many Single Malt Casks lie slowly maturing, as worthy of special Mossburn Distillers & Blenders bottling. Each batch exhibited the classic hallmarks of balance, depth and complexity that only the best Single Malts can deliver.
These Single Malt Scotch Whiskies have all been bottled without any colouring or chill filtration. This is from batch number 01.0903.24 and is the 24th release.
Distilled in June 1990 and bottled by independent bottler Douglas Laing in March 2012, this Rosebank is from a refill hogshead which produced just 136 bottles. DL Ref 8227

This Glasgow was distilled in 2017 and bottled in 2022 from a Sherry Butt (part cask). Bottled at 57.1%abv and 216 bottles produced. Watt Whisky described this whisky as "dry sherry, raisins, coffee beans, melted chocolate and honey."
