Hendrick's Grand Cabaret Gin 70cl

The distillery say "This exquisitely extravagant expression boasts a rich ensemble of bright flavours that seduce the senses. It seems that stone fruit flavours, rose scents and gin were a magical combination in the most opulent of establishments in Paris at the turn of the 20th Century, and eaux de vies, peach schnapps, cherry liqueurs and the like were the ‘in thing’ for those who had the means to celebrate in spectacular style. Our Master Distiller, alchemist and liquid poet Lesley Gracie has deftly combined these flavours into a ravishingly fruity spirit, where pirouettes of decadent stone fruit share the stage with sweet herbs and make for an elegant sensory feast that is deliciously indulgent and yet as light as silk. Lesley says "The classic juniper character of Hendrick’s Gin is enhanced by the natural soft sweetness and bright fruitiness of deliciously decadent stone fruit which complements and accentuates the freshness of our signature cucumber notes. A cabaret of stone fruit flavours seduces with wild waves of light, fruity freshness and is rounded out by sweet aromatic herbs for a deliciously smooth, distinctly different fragrantly fruity finish."

Hepple Gin 70cl

The distillery says the notion of what makes a great gin lies at the core of every decision we have made at Hepple. We knew that juniper would be at the heart but only by combining both the ripe and young green stages of the berry can we reveal the full breadth of its life and flavour. Woven into this is an array of botanicals that are as lively in the bottle as they are side by side in the northerly wind. Throughout our experimentation it was imperative that we remain faithful to the extraordinary brightness of each ingredient to make this most flavourful gin. It uses an innovative three-level process for extracting botanical flavours. The heavier ones are distilled with the grain, lighter examples are vacuum distilled, and juniper flavour is extracted using carbon dioxide. The botanicals used are juniper, green juniper, douglas fir, bog myrtle, lovage, blackcurrant leaves, blackcurants, Amalfi lemon, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, liquorice, angelica and orris root.

Kintyre Gin 70cl

Beinn An Tuirc Distillery proudly presents 'Kintyre Gin, a beautifully blended spirit using carefully selected botanicals which reflect our unique coastal, pasture and woodland position on the east coast of the Kintyre peninsula.'

Kintyre Gin is sustainably produced using our very own renewable energy, powered from the small hydro-electric scheme at Torrisdale Castle Estate. Our water is sourced from the hill from which we take our name. ‘Beinn an Tuirc’ translates from gaelic as ‘The Hill of the Wild Boar’ and is the highest point in Kintyre, located above our distillery building.

We use 12 botanicals in our core expression, Kintyre Gin, which have all been sustainably sourced. To achieve the characteristics of a very flavoursome and well-balanced spirit, the gin consists of 10 commonly used botanicals (orris root, liquorice, lemon peel, juniper, almonds, cubeb berries, corriander, cassia bark, bitter orange peel, angelica root, with the addition of 2 which are unique, namely Icelandic moss and sheep sorrel - both grow on the estate in abundance. Either through maceration or vapour infusion, these produce a gin which our expert tasting panel described as having earthy and spicy characteristics, being deep in flavour, with a very pleasant floral aroma. Misty Isle Gin 70cl

Misty Isle Gin is the only gin made on the Isle of Skye, by the Wilson brothers, Thomas and Alastair. All of the gin is made locally in Portree and the brothers say the bottle shape represents the elements if the Isle of Skye with each bottle being unique and different. They also tell us 'Our juniper berries are hand foraged from various wild locations around Skye. Our Juniper is then slowly distilled in traditional gas fired copper pot stills for approximately 8 hours, then vapour infused with our botanicals.'

They use 11 botanicals in total including; Juniper, coriander, grains of paradise, orris root, liquorice root, black cubebs, lemon peel, cassia bark to name some and one which is top secret and only comes from the Isle of Skye.

This results in our gin being Juniper heavy but not too floral with earthy undertones and a hint of spice, subtle flavours of citrus with a refreshing after taste.
