The Kilchoman PX Sherry cask matured 2023 Edition was matured for a minimum of five years in Pedro Ximinez sherry casks previously used by Bodega Jose y Miguel Martin, Jerez, Spain. The time spent maturing in Pedro Ximinez casks, has given the whisky layers of rich, sweet PX influence which balance beautifully with the citrus sweetness and peat smoke of the Kilchoman spirit
This Kilchoman Sanaig is named after a small rocky inlet located north of the distillery. This expression has a predominantly sherry cask influence.
This Distillers Edition of the Classic Malts of Scotland Lagavulin from 2006 has been double matured and is from release number lgv.4/510. It was bottled in 2022.
Full bodied Lagavulin is richly peated, smoky and intense on the palate, mightiest of the Islay malts in style, it has a salty edge of sea-spray. The master distiller has hand selected a small number of casks for double maturation in Pedro Ximinez cask-wood.
Its accents of rich, sun-dried grape sweetness have been chosen to compliment this spectacular single malt's rich, complex style.

The distillery has one of the longest wash fermentation periods in the Scotch Whisky Industry. Coupled with an unusual sister spirit stills, this set up helps to achieve the Distillery Manager's, Garry Haggart's, goal of producing a malt of remarkable character for its age. The Sister Spirit Stills “Poppy” & “Gee”, named after the owner's, Drew and Helens’, two daughters, help enhance and refine, through additional copper contact in the spirit distillation phase. The intention is to maintain the flavours captured in the long fermentation period.
