This Blair Athol was distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2021 from an Oloroso sherry hogshead which produced 1062 bottles.
The Morrison family describe this as having 'nutty shortbread, malty sweetness and a dry finish.'
Today, Craigellachie still use old fashioned worm tubs to cool the spirit and bestow it with extra flavour, creating a dram to rival whiskies twice it's age.
The distillery say "This expression is a limited edition of 3,042 bottles and has been specially created by our Master Distiller. From Glencadam's historic dunnage warehouses, he has carefully selected single malt distilled in 2008 and matured initially in exceptional ex bourbon American oak casks. The single malt is these casks has been expertly married then finished in the finest Sauternes wine barrels sourced from France."
Bottled exclusively for the UK, this Ardmore is described as 'Single malt Scotch from Ardmore, distilled in 2008 and matured in a single bourbon hogshead, before finishing in a Moor Beer stout cask! After 13 years, the whisky was independently bottled by Murray McDavid for its Benchmark series. The creamy malt character from the stout cask mingles happily with the classic earthen smoke notes of Ardmore's whisky – this ought to be an ideal dram to enjoy after a nice glass of craft beer.' Bottled exclusively for the UK, this Mannochmore was distilled in 2008 and bottled in 2022 with a release of 286 bottles. Murray McDavid say "initially filled into a standard hogshead, this light, fruity spirit developed complexity but very little colour. We've nurtured the complexity and developed the colour by finishing in a PX sherry cask from Ximenez-Spinola for it's final two years."
