The distillery says that Caledonia Edradour is a special single cask release selected by songwriter Dougie MacLean and named after his famous song 'Caledonia'. It is initially matured in bourbon barrels casks followed by an Oloroso finish of 4-5 years. An old fashioned whisky for those looking for how whisky used to be made.
Since Sir Alexander Ramsay established the distillery in 1824 the distillery say 'we've been going to extraordinary lengths to capture the purest expression of our whisky's character. Located in the foothills of Scotland's Cairngorms, we dont just use crystal clear mountain water as an ingredient, we drench our stills with it, cooling the copper so only the finest vapours rise.'
Using now rare worm tubs, the distillery maintains traditional practices like these in order to maintain its whisky's elusive fruity character.

The distillery say 'This 12 year old unpeated spirit has been matured in first fill Bourbon barrels before a final twelve month finish in Amontillado Sherry Casks. The result is a warm, nutty dram with long lingering vanilla notes and a mildly dry finish. Subtle maritime nuances on the nose and palate transport you to Campbeltown, as if walking along on our harbour at Christmas time.
Founded in 1885 the distillery was originally part of the Mills of Rothes. Water from the Doonie Burn is used to produce this smooth, warming single malt scotch whisky. A slight sense of wood smoke on the nose is rewarded with a spicy, dry finish. 
Under the guidance of Master Distiller Billy Walker, a process of slow fermentation, precise distillation and long maturation in the finest casks from around the world delivers this fantastic single malt, as natural as the rocky place it came from.
The Glendronach 12 is one of the best entry single malts around. The combination Sherry of sherry casks (some Pedro Ximinez and some Oloroso) gives lots of toffee, malt and nuts overlaid with raisins and fruit pie.
The distillery says: "Glenglassaugh is distilled with mineral-rich spring water, and nourished by the sea air that drifts through our warehouses. After maturing for 12 years in a combination of bourbon, sherry and red wine casks, it develops a harmonious balance of coastal richness, shaped by an abundance of land and sea."
