Tasting Notes
Nose |
Wemyss: Malt and fruit aromas of Golden syrup sponge, lemon puff biscuits and Danish pastry with custard and jam can all be detected on the initial nose. Muskier notes of caraway, star anise and old leather build as the whisky opens up. |
Taste |
Wemyss: Sweet and slightly savoury like the fresh pastry of egg tarts or custard Danishes provide a moreish initial taste. Later lime, pineapple and banana unveil themselves to show a fruity side to this heavy bodied whisky from Speyside. |
Finish |
Wemyss: A creamy aftertaste like buttery short crust pastry brings about a drying finish. |
