Description
This Distillers Edition of the Classic Malts of Scotland Lagavulin from 1979 has been double matured and is from release number lgv.4/463.
This is the definitive Islay malt - untameable, with the strongest peat flavours of any of the malt whiskies from the island. It's dry, complex strength of cahracter, with characteristic notes of sea-spray, is perfectly matched by the sweet accents of sun-dried grapes derived from Pedro Ximinez cask-wood in which this special edition has been doubly matured.
