Description
This Glenmorangie Bacalta (Scots Gaelic for 'Baked') is the 8th Edition in the Private Edition collection. This expression was matured in bourbon casks and then finished in ex-Malmsey Madeira casks which had been baking in the sun.

Distillery: The overall sensation is sweet with inviting aromas of ripe apricots then mineral notes followed by sweet white chocolate. Fragrant, honeyed and sweet, mead-like, and a curious flinty note.
WSD: Starts with fresh laundry and then raspberry coulee and marmalade. Hint of ginger. |

Distillery: An initial burst of mint toffee, with baked fruits such as caramelised oranges, honeycomb, almonds and dates. there is marzipan, white pepper and juicy honeydew melon.
WSD: Ginger sweet with light raisin notes - raisin ginger cake. |
Finish |
Distillery: A rich, syrupy aftertaste, with more caramelised citrus and pears, creamy fudge, and an intriguing menthol sensation in the background. |
