Description
This Benromach Sassicaia Wood Finish was initially matured in traditional bourbon casks then transferred to Sassicaia casks from Tuscany and matured for a further 18 months. It was distilled in 2004 and bottled in 2013 and is one of only 3600 bottles.

Nose |
Distillery: Sweet vanilla with peach, red grape and vibrant red berry aromas. Hints of toffee coated apples and subtle bonfire embers linger. With water - Fresh citrus aromas, lemon and lime, with a touch of beeswax. These combine with a lingering pipe tobacco and menthol note. |
Taste |
Distillery: Chilli spice with cooked red apple and sweet orange fondant flavours. Delicate hints of oak tannins and peat smoke develop. With water - Sweet summer fruit flavours, strawberry and raspberry, with a touch of nutmeg. These are complimented by a dry smoke and charred oak edge. |
