Uniquely waxy character, with sweetness to taste, brown sugar and a hint of floral notes on the nose.
What The WSD thinks: Wood chippings and cracked pepper with hints of lanolin and banana flavoured chewy sweets. Very much initially icing sugar sweet before tropical fruit concentrate comes bowling in.
|Distillery: The nose starts with light candle wax, some sugar and a faint floral fragrance. Adding a little water brings this into focus; the candle wax is now more richly scented as if, when strolling near the beach, you have come across sun-dried flowers among the sand dunes.|
|Distillery: On the spicy palate there's a signature oily, mustard-cress crispness, which is underscored by some maritime saltiness in the satisfying, drying finish.
Distillery: Some salt, dryish yet an attractive, even slightly bitter finish.
