Description
This Adelphi Longmorn was distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2015 from a refill American oak, ex-sherry hogshead which produced 255 bottles.
Tasting Notes
Nose |
Adelphi: Butterscotch, Werther's Originals, Crunchie bars and glace cherries. The sherry notes begin to appear, then the sweetie shops with macaroons and toffee rum and raisin ice cream.
The WSD: Earthy, woodland just after the rain. Tinned fruit cocktail, refreshers followed by toasted teacakes. (V) |
Taste |
Adelphi: Initially quite tart to taste, very quickly becoming both sweet and spicy: liquorice, caramelised burnt sugar, tate tatin, Sbrisolona (crumly Italian nut cake) and a bag of almonds. Bitter cherries and bread and butter pudding also in the evelopment, with spiced rum, ginger powder, baked apples and bitter chocolate.
