Tasting Notes
Nose & Taste |
Adelphi: Let it breathe, smell the old cellar, and then start with Christmas cake mix and candied fruit, becoming more intense with notes of candied orange peel and angelica root on a rich, buttery base. Liquorice is also at the heart. A little water introduces fennel and fly cemeteries (not as bad as they sound!) Much sweeter with water, now an increased oily mouthfeel. |
Finish |
Adelphi: Sweet on the centre palate but massive chocolate in the aftertaste. A hint of desiccated coconut and almonds, quite magnificent. |
