Description
This Adelphi Aultmore is from a refill bourbon hogshead which produced 179 bottles. Lots of baked apples and apple pie show the quality of this aged Speyside.
Tasting Notes
Nose |
Adelphi: Simnel cake (dried fruits and dry marzipan); then really vivid notes of green apple peel becoming bruised apples. With water the aroma is more apple pie and well- baked pie crust. |
Taste |
Adelphi: A good body, with a pleasant mouth-filling texture; sweet, with a trace of salt, and the apples are now baked (in there skins). |
Finish |
Adelphi: Drying in the medium-length finish, with dessicated coconut in the aftertaste, an excellent example of a well aged Speyside malt. |
