Scottish Beers V International Beers but that's not all each beer will be paired with a particular food and a dram!
In this extraordinary tasting, carefully selected Scottish beers will compete against international beers but that's not all. Each beer will be paired with a scottish whisky and some food designed to complete the flavours. You will get you to vote on the best beer and the best combination.
This will be lots of fun not least because the tasting will be hosted by local craft brewer David MacDonald and The Whisky Shop Dufftown's very own Lady of the Drams, Vicky.
David is a well renowned craft brewer beer aficionado from Spey Valley Brewery which was founded in 2007 by a brewer and a farmer. Guess which one David is? They started quietly perfecting their beers on their pilot plant on the farm and in 2011 their beers hit the pubs. They worked closely with The Mash Tun to perfect new recipes and get feedback from their customers. They are now ready for a bigger stage!!!
David's tasting at last year's Whisky Shop Dufftown Autumn Festival blew people away. So don't miss this one. We are allowing 2 hours for this one. It should be the usual 1 hour and 30 minutes but there will be a lot to get through!!!
