In this extraordinary tasting, carefully selected beers are paired with a whisky and a curry dish to complement each other creating a flavour experience. A genuine tasting menu we are told.
This will be lots of fun not least because the tasting will be hosted by local craft brewer David MacDonald and The Whisky Shop Dufftown's very own Lady of the Drams, Vicky Keough. They do like a bit of a costume so this will need to be seen to be believed.
David is a well renowned craft brewer beer aficionado from Spey Valley Brewery which was founded in 2007 by a brewer and a farmer. Guess which one David is? They started quietly perfecting their beers on their pilot plant on the farm in 2011 and they now have a brand new facility.
Not only is Vicky manager of The Whisky Shop Dufftown she is also a highly regarded whisky judge for both Scottish Field and Spirit of Speyside bringing her excellent nose and palette to their competitions.
David and Vicky's tastings at the last festivals have blown people away!
